The Voorheesville Fire Department has several memberships in various professional and fraternal organizations as part of its desire to maintain awareness of upcoming firefighting educational and practical events, changes in firefighting regulations and procedures, as well as for the purpose of helping to promote public awareness of the role of volunteer firefighters in our community and across the region and State. Below are those that we support.

Albany County Rural Chiefs Association - a group promoting the interests of the Departments located in the central and southern parts of Albany County (NY). These smaller and widely scattered units work closely with each other to improve their ability to respond to emergencies as well as to provide one voice when necessary to bring their unique issues to light.
Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemens Association - a group covering the sixteen counties of the Hudson Valley of New York State. These are from Westchester county in the south to Washington county in the north. The association serves to inform member departments of upcoming training and educational seminars, to support the Firemen's Association of New York State, and to work with the leadership of the many local, county, state and federal organizations supporting the volunteer fire service.
Hudson Mohawk Vounteer Firemens Association - a similar organization covering the Mohawk River valley and parts of the Hudson River valley.
